Hello! I'm Joseph Gorak, a graduate student at Aberystwyth University currently pursuing a master's degree in advanced computer
science. My primary interests lie in web and mobile development, but I also enjoy exploring data science and machine learning.
I see each day as an opportunity to learn something new and sharpen my development skills. I've built a range of projects ranging from
responsive web applications to algorithm based games. These hands-on experiences have helped me grow as both a developer and a
problem-solver. I bring a strong work ethic from my years of part-time work and academics, where I value teamwork,
resilience, and staying adaptable under pressure.
From academic projects, I've often found myself naturally stepping into leadership roles. I enjoy guiding teams toward a
shared goal and creating an environment where everyone contributes their strengths Outside of tech, I'm passionate about learning from different cultures, connecting
with people, and hearing their stories. I enjoy being in nature which reflects hiking, taking photos, and supporting sustainability
efforts that contribute to a better future for our planet.

Timeline
2018: Graduated high school and began studying at the University of Toledo.
2022: Began one year study abroad program at Rikkyo University in Tokyo.
2023: Began final year of undergraduate program.
2024: Graduate with GPA of 3.827 and begin master's program at Aberystwyth University.
2025: Began master's project developing smart home dashboard whilst searching for a career.
